LinuxPipeline: iBrix helps a Texas facility build a storage system that can keep up with its high-performance Linux computers.
At the Texas Advanced Computing Center, engineers from multiple departments submit formulas and mathematical equations that would cripple most computer systems. A cluster of Dell computers running the Linux operating system gives the center the capacity to handle very high levels of input/output. But until recently, the limiting factor for such supercomputers often was the storage file system.
