In this dW-exclusive tutorial, Daniel Robbins introduces you to clustering. He explains what it is, how you go about cluster-enabling your Linux system, and how you can benefit from setting up a cluster. By the end of this tutorial, you will have set up your own MOSIX cluster. MOSIX is a special transparent form of clustering that is very easy to set up and can produce positive results with only a minimal investment of time and energy.
After a quick (2 minutes, tops) registration, you can begin the tutorial. The tutorial should take you about 2 hours to complete. You can take it online, or download a PDF or zip file of the tutorial.
After you register, you can use your userid and password to access any tutorial on the site without entering them again. Be sure to remember your userid and password. Whenever you restart your browser, you'll need to re-enter them to access any tutorial. If you forget your userid, you can create a new one from the registration page.
