Sudhamani project started with the old junk 6-486 machines running Red Hat Linux 6.2 on it. Now it has reached to the point that it has 45 fast computing nodes running Red Hat Linux 7.2. It has a very good Fast Ethernet Network backbone.
The computing nodes consist of 35 AMD Athlon 1900+ XP Processors with DFI Motherboards and 10 Intel P4 2.4 GHz processors.
Sudhamani 3.6 is giving a Peak throughput of 207 GFlops and now it is ranked as the 47th Fastest cluster in the world according to the Top 500 Clusters list.
The idea behind developing Sudhamani is to provide a research platform for AIDS HIV Virus, Bio-Informatics, Wavelet and Fractal Based Image processing and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
