MARLBOROUGH, Mass., Sept. 19 -- Scali, the leader in high
performance clustering solutions for Linux datacenters, appointed Atila
Mellilo as Vice President of Engineering. Mellilo will focus on continuing to
enhance and advance Scali's suite of cluster management products.
Mellilo brings more than 16 years of technology expertise to Scali. Most
recently he was CTO of the banking software division of TietoEnator,
Scandinavia's second largest integrator and consulting company. In that
position, Mellilo worked in major core technology engagements with many of
Europe's largest banks and financial institutions. Prior to this, Mellilo was
CTO of c.Rel, a start-up technology company specializing in Card Management
and CRM solutions, whose technologies were later sold in 1998 to Accenture.
In previous years, Mellilo worked as a consulting manager and software
developer for IBM, where he was responsible for database technologies in the
banking and finance industries.
